Description
A single tree with touches of gold and red in its leaves leans in from the upper left, overlooking a dense mass of blue green foliage that fills the middle of this small canvas. Beyond, a pale violet mountain dissolves into a hazy, near white sky, while a sunlit meadow in green and ochre opens across the foreground.
The thick, swirling brushwork gives the whole scene a soft, almost breathing texture, characteristic of the loose, atmospheric landscapes Renoir painted around Cagnes sur Mer in the south of France in his final decade.
The painting is part of the collection of the National Museum in Warsaw. What is offered here is not that original but a faithful reproduction: a hand-painted oil version on canvas, recreated stroke by stroke by a professional painter, or an archival canvas print made with fade-resistant pigment inks, available in a range of sizes from close to the original small study up to a larger wall feature.
