Description

A young woman with striking blue eyes looks straight out at the viewer, wearing a straw hat trimmed with a red ribbon and pale feathers. Her high-collared red dress with full, puffed sleeves fills most of the canvas in warm, coral-red brushwork, her hands crossed loosely in front of her. The background is kept soft and muted in tans and pale blue-green, letting the red of the dress and hat trim carry the composition.
