Description
Seated Bather Drying Her Leg shows a red-haired nude seated on a swathe of red drapery, bent forward as she pats her leg dry with a white cloth. Loose green foliage fills the background, and the whole figure is built from warm, glowing flesh tones typical of Renoir’s late bather paintings.
Painted in 1914 and now held at the Musée de l’Orangerie, the canvas measures 51 by 41 centimetres and is worked with thick, fluid brushstrokes that soften the outdoor setting behind the figure.
This bather is reproduced as a hand-painted oil copy on canvas or as an archival canvas print, made to order in your choice of size and shipped ready to hang.
