Description
Two pomegranates lie close together on a white cloth, one split open to show a bright cluster of red and cream seeds, beside a pale green fig and a scatter of green leaves. Warm brown fills the background behind the fruit.
The split pomegranate is the picture’s real subject, its torn red interior painted in small, jewel-like touches quite different from the broader strokes used for the smooth, closed fruit beside it.
Reproduced as a hand-painted oil on canvas or as an archival canvas print, at its original 21.3 by 38.4 centimeters or scaled to any size, framed or unframed.
