Description
Pierre-Auguste Renoir shows a nude woman seated with her back to the viewer, turning her head to glance toward a table set with a golden bowl and pink roses just within reach of her outstretched hand. Her rounded form is painted in warm, glowing flesh tones against a background of deep blue drapery on one side and sunlit golden green foliage on the other, with white cloth gathered beneath her. Held at the Barnes Foundation, the work was painted in 1917 and measures 81.9 by 65.7 centimeters.
