Description
A woman’s head and shoulders emerge from a loosely brushed haze of blue, her dark hat and coat rendered in broad, sketch-like strokes that leave much of the canvas raw and unfinished. Her pale face and red lips are the only sharply defined details, tilted gently downward. Painted around 1876, the work reads almost as a rapid study, dominated by cool blues with the bare canvas showing through.
It is available as a hand-painted oil reproduction on artist-grade canvas or as an archival giclee canvas print, made to order in the size of your choice, available framed or unframed, and shipped worldwide.
