Description
Deux femmes en canot (1886) is a loose watercolor sketch of two women seated in a rowboat on the water, one holding a long oar. Trees rendered in soft washes of purple and yellow rise behind them at the water’s edge, with strokes of green suggesting reeds along the bank.
Renoir works here in transparent, fluid washes rather than the thick oil paint of his canvases, the red and green hull of the boat set against a warm, sun-washed haze.
This work is available as a hand-painted oil reproduction on artist-grade canvas or as an archival giclee canvas print, made to order in the size of your choice, available framed or unframed, and shipped worldwide.
