Description
The Little Washerwomen at Cagnes, painted by Pierre-Auguste Renoir in 1913, shows two women crouched at the edge of a stream, bent over their washing. One wears a bright red blouse and blue skirt, the other a pale dress and a straw hat, and both figures lean forward toward the water, which catches soft reflections of their forms.
Lush green foliage crowds the banks of the stream, and Renoir’s broad, loaded brushwork gives the whole scene a warm, sunlit feel typical of his late Cagnes years.
This work is offered as a museum-quality reproduction, printed on canvas or fine art paper in a range of sizes, with a frame preview shown before you order.
