Description
A massive tree with a dense, dark green canopy fills almost the entire canvas, its trunk and branches rendered in loose, heavy strokes of green and near black. At its base a low wooden fence, its rails picked out in thin lines of brown, marks the edge of a path through the forest.
A tiny figure in a touch of red stands almost hidden among the undergrowth at the foot of the tree, giving scale to the towering foliage above. Lighter, sunlit greens and yellows break through at the edges of the canopy, where the sky shows in patches of pale grey and white.
What is offered here is not the original painting but a faithful reproduction: a hand-painted oil version on canvas, recreated stroke by stroke by a professional painter, or an archival canvas print made with fade-resistant pigment inks, available in a range of sizes to suit any wall.
