Description
Portrait of Madame Renoir shows a rosy-cheeked woman gazing forward beneath a straw hat trimmed with pink roses, dark curls slipping across her brow. She wears a pale cream jacket buttoned over her chest, hands folded loosely in front of her, set against a loose, breezy wash of blue and cream. Renoir painted her in 1885, a work now held by the Philadelphia Museum of Art, building the whole surface from light, feathery strokes.
This museum-quality reproduction, printed on canvas or fine-art paper and made to order, keeps that warm, feathery brushwork close enough to appreciate on a bedroom or dressing-room wall.
