Description
Pins à Cagnes frames a wide stretch of the Mediterranean between two umbrella pines, their reddish trunks and gold-green canopies opening onto a hazy blue sea and sky. There are no figures here, only the play of coastal light through branches and low scrub in the foreground. Renoir painted this view in 1919, near the end of his life at his home in Cagnes-sur-Mer, now held by the MuMa Museum of modern art André Malraux.
This reproduction brings that late, sun-warmed Mediterranean light into a room as a museum-quality wall-art print. Choose a canvas or fine-art paper finish, sized for a reading corner or a larger coastal-view wall.
Each print is made to order, keeping the loose, feathery brushwork of the pines and the soft haze over the water true to the original.
