Description

Pierre-Auguste Renoir paints a nude woman seated with her back to the viewer, her dark hair swept forward over one shoulder in a long cascade. Rendered with a soft, hazy texture that lets the canvas weave show through, her pale figure sits against a background split between cool blue-green on one side and warm golden ochre on the other, with a white cloth draped beneath her.
