Description
Dark-Haired Woman (1903), held at the Kawamura Memorial DIC Museum of Art and measuring 46.5 x 38 cm, shows a bare-shouldered young woman seen from behind and in profile, her dark hair swept up. She tilts her chin down toward her shoulder, one hand pressed to a soft white cloth trimmed with red draped over her arm.
Renoir builds the figure from warm flesh tones against a hazy blue-grey ground, with a strip of golden ochre panelling at the left edge of the canvas.
This painting is available as a hand-painted oil reproduction on artist-grade canvas or as an archival giclee canvas print, made to order in the size of your choice, available framed or unframed, and shipped worldwide.
