Description
Bather Drying her Right Leg shows a seated nude woman bent forward, her long brown hair falling loose as she wipes her leg with a white cloth, one knee drawn up before her. Renoir painted the scene around 1910 with a blue-green, loosely brushed landscape behind her, the palette softer and cooler than in many of his sun-drenched bather pictures. The work is held today at the São Paulo Museum of Art.
As a reproduction for the wall, this piece is printed on museum-quality canvas or fine-art paper, made to order in a choice of sizes and finishes. The quiet, private pose and the cool green backdrop suit a bedroom or bathroom setting particularly well.
