Description
A pink and ochre rock face rises above a valley of dark green trees and scattered rooftops, painted in loose watercolor washes under a deep, saturated blue sky streaked with pink cloud. A red roofed house sits in the foreground beside tall dark cypress-like shrubs.
The mountain is almost certainly Sainte-Victoire, the same limestone ridge Cezanne painted obsessively from nearby, though Renoir treats it here in fast, transparent washes rather than the structured brushwork of his neighbour.
Reproduced as a hand-painted oil on canvas or as an archival canvas print, translating the watercolor into a finished wall piece, in a range of sizes, framed or unframed.
