Description
Blonde Bather, painted in 1881, shows a young woman seated on rocks by the sea, her long reddish-blonde hair falling loose over her shoulders and down her back. She turns to look calmly out at the viewer, one hand gathering white drapery in her lap while jagged cliffs and breaking waves rise behind her. Renoir paints her skin in smooth, luminous strokes against the cooler blues and greens of the coastline. The painting belongs to the Clark Art Institute.
This reproduction is offered as a museum-quality canvas or fine-art print, made to order in a choice of sizes for a bedroom, bathroom, or reading nook.
The warm skin tones set against the rocky blue coastline reproduce with the same luminous quality found in the original oil.
