Privacy Policy
Last updated 14 September 2026.
Scope of this policy
This policy describes how Renoir Wall Art (renoirwallart.com) handles personal information when you browse the site, configure a painting, place an order, request a custom commission, contact support or join the mailing list. It applies to this website only.
Orders and essential site functions
The site uses essential session and cart cookies to remember the items and options you have selected and to keep checkout secure. These cannot be switched off without breaking the shop. When you place an order we collect your name, contact details, billing and delivery address, the configuration you chose (medium, size, orientation and framing) and the order record itself. We use this to produce, dispatch and support your order, and we keep it for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe and PayPal. When you pay, the provider you choose receives the payment, device and transaction information it needs to authorise the charge, prevent fraud, handle refunds and meet its own legal obligations. Card details are entered directly into the provider’s hosted fields; this site never receives or stores a full card number. Each provider acts as an independent controller for that data under its own privacy policy.
Production, delivery and support
Your name, delivery address and order specification are shared with the painting studio, the packing team and the carrier handling your shipment, and with nobody else, and only to the extent needed to make and deliver what you ordered. Support correspondence is kept while it is needed to resolve your request and to document the order history.
Custom commissions and reference images
If you commission a custom painting we store your brief, your preferences and any reference photographs you upload so that a studio administrator can assess feasibility, composition, price and timing. Reference files are stored privately, are never added to the public media library, are not used in marketing, and are not used to train any machine-learning model. You can ask us to delete them once your commission is complete.
Newsletter
If you choose to join the mailing list we store your email address, the page you signed up from, the consent wording you agreed to and the time you agreed to it. We use this only to send occasional emails about new work and offers. Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately.
Server logs
Our hosting infrastructure keeps technical logs, including IP address, requested URL, browser identification and timestamp, for security and reliability. Logs are retained for a limited period and are not used to build marketing profiles.
Analytics, cookies and your choices
Who is responsible. Renoir Wall Art is operated by Fluixo LLC, 1209 Mountain Road Pl NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110, United States. You can reach us at [email protected].
What we measure, and why. We measure how visitors use this store so that we can understand what works and improve it. We use three tools:
- Matomo, which we host ourselves on a server in Germany. On this store, Matomo does not use cookies. It records the pages you view, the site or campaign that brought you here, your type of device and browser, your approximate location, and store events such as products viewed, cart updates and orders. Your IP address is shortened before it is stored. Detailed visit records are deleted after 180 days; after that, we keep only aggregated reports.
- Google Analytics 4, provided by Google. It uses cookies to measure visits and store events such as products viewed, items added to the cart, checkouts and orders.
- Microsoft Clarity, provided by Microsoft. It uses cookies and records how pages are used, such as clicks, scrolling and mouse movements, to help us find what is confusing or broken.
Google and Microsoft may process this data in the United States.
When we measure.
- In most countries, including the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Canada and Vietnam, none of these tools runs until you accept them in the cookie banner, by clicking Accept or by choosing categories under View preferences.
- In the United States, Japan, Mexico, Australia and Switzerland, Matomo starts measuring your visit when you arrive, unless you refuse (see below). Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity still wait until you accept them.
If we cannot tell which country you are in, we treat you as a visitor who must accept first.
How to refuse or change your choice.
- Click Deny in the cookie banner. To change your choice later, use the cookie settings button in the bottom corner of the page. We remember your choice for six months.
- If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, Matomo does not start before you accept, including in the countries listed above.
- You can also write to [email protected] to object to measurement.
Legal basis. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity run only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Matomo also runs only with your consent, except in the countries listed above, where we rely on our legitimate interest in understanding and improving our store; you can object at any time.
Who we share data with
- Payment providers (Stripe, PayPal) to take payment and handle refunds and disputes.
- Carriers (for example UPS or DHL) to deliver your order and provide tracking.
- Our email provider to send order confirmations and, if you opted in, the newsletter.
- Our hosting provider, which stores the site and its database on our behalf.
- Analytics providers (Google, Microsoft), only if you accept analytics cookies, as described above.
We do not sell personal information.
International transfers
Producing and shipping an international order necessarily involves transferring your delivery details across borders. If you accept analytics cookies, Google and Microsoft may process the related data in the United States. Where data leaves the European Economic Area we rely on the recipient’s own approved transfer safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to a particular use, or ask us to send it to another provider. Where we rely on your consent, such as for the newsletter, you can withdraw that consent at any time. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within one month. If you are in the EEA or the UK and you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to your national data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will also be announced to newsletter subscribers.
