Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a hand-painted oil and a canvas print?
A hand-painted oil is a real painting, created by a studio artist in oils on canvas, with genuine brushwork and texture; each one is unique. A canvas print is a high-quality photographic reproduction printed onto canvas. Hand-painted oils are our speciality and our recommendation for a lasting, gallery-quality piece; prints are a lighter, lower-cost alternative.
What sizes can I order?
A range of sizes is offered on each product page, from pieces suited to a study or hallway to large statement works for a main wall. Simply choose your size before adding to the basket, and the artist paints to those dimensions.
Can I have my painting framed?
Yes. Framing options are selected on the product page alongside the size. You may also order the piece unframed if you prefer to arrange your own frame locally.
How long does a hand-painted piece take?
Because every oil is painted to order, please allow time for the artist to complete and cure the work before it ships. Larger and more detailed pieces take longer. The current lead time is shown at checkout, and we will keep you updated as your commission progresses.
How much is shipping?
Shipping is free worldwide on every order. Your painting is carefully packed to travel safely to your door.
Are these authentic Renoir paintings?
No. These are hand-painted reproductions of public-domain works by Pierre-Auguste Renoir, created by our studio artists. They are not original Renoirs and are not sold as such.
What is your returns policy?
Because hand-painted oils are made to order for you, we ask that you check your size and framing carefully before ordering. If your piece arrives damaged or is not as described, contact us and we will put it right, whether by repair, remaking or refund.
I have a special request. Can you help?
Very likely. If you would like a particular Renoir, an unusual size, or advice on choosing between an oil and a print, please get in touch through our contact page.
