Description
Renoir paints a shaded garden path bordered by dense flowerbeds of red poppies, white blossoms and golden marigolds. Tall trees arch overhead, filtering the light into dappled patches on the sandy track, while a woman in a pale dress carries a white parasol as she walks away down the path, half swallowed by the surrounding greenery. Painted in 1873, the canvas is built almost entirely from loose, broken strokes of green, so that the flowers read as bright accents against the shadowed foliage.
This scene is available as a hand-painted oil reproduction on artist-grade canvas or as an archival giclee canvas print, made to order in the size of your choice, available framed or unframed, and shipped worldwide.
