Description
A stone house with a blue slate roof and a smoking chimney sits among windswept pine trees bent by sea air. In the foreground stands a tall stone calvaire, a carved cross on a pedestal, with small figures gathered near its base along a dirt path.
Beyond the house and trees, a pale strip of water and distant hills meet a soft, cloudy sky rendered in blues, pinks, and grays. Renoir’s loose, wind-blown brushwork animates the trees and clouds, giving the coastal Breton scene a sense of open air and movement.
Tréboul, painted in 1895, is offered as a hand-painted oil reproduction on canvas or as an archival giclee canvas print, made to order in a range of sizes and ready to hang.
