Description
Seascape opens onto a wide expanse of blue-green water under a pale, cloud-streaked sky. A few small sailboats drift near the horizon, while in the foreground grassy dunes slope down toward the shore and a lone figure in red sits quietly on the grass, gazing out over the water.
Painted in 1879 and now held at the Kunsthaus Zürich, the canvas is built from soft, airy strokes of blue, green and cream, giving the whole scene a breezy, open-air feel typical of Renoir’s coastal studies.
This seascape is reproduced as a hand-painted oil copy on canvas or as an archival giclee print, made to order in a range of sizes and delivered ready to hang.
