Description
Near the Lake catches a man in a straw boater and a woman in a pale bonnet leaning together on a rust-red wooden railing, half hidden beneath a canopy of leaves. Beyond them a lake opens out, dotted with a small white sail and a couple strolling the far shore. Renoir painted the scene in 1879, now held by the Art Institute of Chicago, layering quick strokes of green foliage against the cooler blues and whites of the water.
This reproduction brings that dappled, sunlit intimacy into a room as a museum-quality wall-art print. Choose a canvas or fine-art paper finish, sized to suit a hallway nook or a larger gathering wall.
Each print is made to order, keeping the loose, breezy brushwork of the original rather than flattening it into a generic stock image.
