Description
Renoir portrays his youngest son Claude, known in the family as Coco, seated sideways in a wooden chair with his legs crossed and one hand resting near his knee. The boy wears a loose white smock with a soft open collar, his light brown hair drawn up at the crown, and turns to gaze calmly off to the side. Behind him a loosely brushed field of green fills the canvas, painted in the broken, feathery strokes typical of Renoir’s late style.
This portrait, titled Coco (Claude Renoir), dates from 1910 and is held by the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
It is available as a hand-painted oil reproduction on artist-grade canvas or as an archival giclee canvas print, made to order in the size of your choice, available framed or unframed, and shipped worldwide.
