Description
Painted in 1905, this portrait shows Renoir’s young son Claude, known as Coco, deep in play. His long hair is tied back with a white ribbon, and he wears a loose red smock as he reaches out to place a small toy figure on a miniature stage set with tiny painted soldiers. The warm terracotta background and soft, blurred garden beyond keep the focus entirely on the child’s concentrated, half-smiling face. The painting hangs at the Musée de l’Orangerie.
This reproduction is offered as a museum-quality canvas or fine-art print, made to order in a range of sizes for a nursery, playroom, or family wall.
The warm red smock and terracotta tones reproduce with the same glowing warmth Renoir gave this intimate family scene.
