Description
Three ripe pomegranates and a scattering of green figs lie together on a white cloth, their reddish orange skins built from short, warm, overlapping strokes. A plain brown wall closes off the background, keeping every bit of attention on the fruit’s rough texture.
The composition is close and simple, no other objects at all, just the contrast between the pomegranates’ warm red and the cooler green of the figs beside them, painted with obvious appetite for colour.
Reproduced as a hand-painted oil on canvas or as an archival canvas print, at its original 27 by 46.5 centimeters or scaled to any size, framed or unframed.
