Description
In Dans le Parc de Saint-Cloud (1866), Renoir paints a sun-dappled avenue of tall trees where well-dressed figures gather and stroll in small groups. Men in white and women in pale dresses cluster near a striped refreshment stand tucked among the trunks, while a woman in white with a parasol and a child move across the sunlit grass in the foreground.
Light breaks through the dense canopy in patches of gold and white, scattering across the lawn and the figures below, an early example of Renoir working outdoors with loose, broken brushwork.
This painting is available as a hand-painted oil reproduction on artist-grade canvas or as an archival giclee canvas print, made to order in the size of your choice, framed or unframed, and shipped worldwide.
