Description
A compact, rounded bouquet of anemones fills a squat vase decorated with loose blue and white brushwork, each bloom turned to face the viewer and showing off a dark, near-black center ringed in violet. The petals move from burnt orange and coral through to pale cream and blush pink, with bright green leaves threaded between the stems near the base.
Renoir keeps the flower heads tightly clustered, almost touching, so the eye reads the bouquet as a single glowing mass of warm color rather than individual stems. A plain olive-gold wall and a strip of red tablecloth are all that surround the vase, letting the anemones and their dark eye-like centers carry the entire composition.
This tightly composed anemone bouquet is offered as a made-to-order canvas reproduction in a range of sizes up to large formats, shipped worldwide.
